Underlying Core Policies

Underlying our corporate social responsibility program is a set of core policies that outline our approach and guide our activities.

Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy

The purpose of anti-discrimination laws is to prevent decisions being made which affect a person’s employment on the basis of irrelevant stereotypes. Discrimination may result in unwanted or unwelcome behaviour directed towards another person because of that person’s gender, race (including colour, descent, national or ethnic origin), age, marital status, religious or political beliefs (including union membership), parental status and appearance.

We are committed to maintaining a work environment that is free from discrimination and harassment. As such, we will not tolerate direct and/or indirect harassment of, or by, our employees.

Equal Employment Opportunity Policy

The aim of the equal employment opportunity legislation is to systematically remove discrimination and other obstacles from the employment policies and practices of Australian organisations. It is our policy to protect the employment rights of qualified applicants and employees regardless of an individual’s race, color, sex, age, religion, national origin, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, disability, and/or other protected categories under applicable laws.

Privacy and Use of Confidential Information

We comply with the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act and are committed to protect the privacy of employees, associates, customers and suppliers. We ensure that all business-related information of a confidential, sensitive or private nature is kept confidential and restricted to relevant employees, contractors or third party providers. Our Privacy Policy sets-out in further detail our commitment to privacy and use of confidential information.

Fair Trading

We compete fairly for business, respecting the rights of other parties. It ensures proper processes for tendering of services are conducted. Our employees are educated about the laws protecting and promoting competition. They are required to deal with stakeholders honestly and at arms length.

Compliance

We are conscious of our obligations to comply with all relevant legislation affecting our operations in Australia and other jurisdictions. We are committed to implement compliance policies, procedures and programs, including an education and training program for our consultants on areas of law relevant to our business.

General

We are individually and collectively accountable for upholding our corporate social responsibility commitments. We encourage participation across our organization, and we will work with external stakeholders to continually advocate on behalf of the global workforce, improve our workplaces, contribute to the communities we serve, and ensure our actions are socially, ethically, and environmentally responsible.
